Indian American tech executive Abdul Razack joins Google as VP Solution Engineering

Former SAP Chief Product Officer Abdul Razack has joined Google Cloud as vice president for Solution Engineering.

In the newly created position, the Indian American is responsible for building solutions across the tech giant’s seven pillars, like Infrastructure (compute, network, storage), Analytics, Data Management, Machine Learning and Artificial Intelligence, Security, Collaboration etc. “The opportunity to bring Google’s leading technology into the enterprise is truly exciting,” said Razack, who lives in Cupertino, CA.

He said that the current computer science vs computer engineering has accelerated digital transformation of many industries and Google Cloud will help enterprise customers digitally transform by “bringing solutions, not just technology.”

“Many industries will be reshaped,” he said. “Retail stores will not look like the retails of last year. Businesses will reshape with technology and Google has the best technology. Our focus is to solve tomorrow’s problem, not yesterday’s.”

Google Cloud is headed by fellow Indian American Thomas Kurian. In his new role, Razack is reporting to Global Head of Solutions Engineering Hamidou Dia.
