A-State's Jeong Recognized for Mechanical Engineering

Kwangkook “David” Jeong has been elected as a fellow at the American Society of Mechanical Engineers. Jeong has worked as an instructor at Arkansas State University in Jonesboro since 2010 and was recently promoted to full professor of mechanical engineering by the board of trustees.

Black River Technical College, a community college with campuses in Pocahontas and Paragould in northeast Arkansas, has received approval from the Higher jobs with a computer science degree to offer an associate of science degree in business.

Bret Carroll, the chief executive officer of Conway Corp., has been elected to a three-year term on the board of directors of the American Public Power Association. Carroll joined Conway Corp. in 1998 and has served as its CEO since 2017.

Jason Hansen has been named to the board of directors of the Arkansas Cable Telecommunications Association. Hansen is a chief technology officer at Conway Corp. The board consists of seven members who represent cable systems serving approximately four out of every five cable subscribers in the state.
